3 questions. The answers should be pedestrian directions, indicating which directions and road names.
1. Victoria Railway station to Queen Victoria Memorial. 2. Madame Tussad's to London Zoo 3. Camden Roundhouse to Finchley Road.
If you can give other information such as (verifiable) road crossings, I may consider additional points.

I could do all those on the ground without thinking but also without knowing most / all of the street names.

There are dozens of memorials to Queen Victoria. (arguably Victoria station is one of them). Assuming you mean the one outside Buckingham Palace, leave Victoria station by the side entrance next to platform 18, turn right into Buckingham Palace Road, and when you get to a big statue in the middle of the road, you're there.
Turn left outside Tussauds, walk along Marylebone Road until you get to Regents Park, walk across the park until you see a camel.
Finchley Road is four and a half miles long. If you head in a westerly direction from the Roundhouse you are bound to hit it in about half a mile. Easiest is to follow Adelaide Road to the Swiss Cottage junction.
But do you dare to go south of the River? How about:
Waterloo to Tate Modern Elephant & Castle to Lambeth Palace Clapham Junction to Albert Memorial

Waterloo to Tate Modern... Walk north until you reach the river, turn right, keep walking with the river on your left hand side, past the futuristic building that looks like something out of Dr Who (actually.. it IS something out of Dr Who), until you see the swinging footbridge with a view of St Paul's like something out of Dr Who (actually that view WAS in Dr Who, several times, with added cybermen). You're at Tate modern, and if you can't read the massive sign, then get your eyes tested. If you find yourself at a really Elizabethan looking round wattle and daub building that looks like something out of Dr Who (actually it WAS in Dr Who), you've gone too far.

One thing that struck me from the images of buses with crowds surrounding them until they catch one is... W H Y ? We can argue the why's and wherefore's, if's and but's re the causes of any dispute [it's not for the forum to comment one way or another re apportioning blame], however we're not talking a massive amount of time that is wasted by walking from the perimeter of the Circle Line into the centre... You can walk from Liverpool Street to Oxford Circus in 50 minutes... and it's at least 30-40 minutes via the Central Line on a reasonable day... I know this from personal experience of delegates who arrive late to training courses I deliver, as they've underestimated the time it takes trying to travel between the two offices (not just the time it takes for the train to travel the route) via the Central Line. I know the time it takes to walk from one office to another as I've personally walked the route via Chancery Lane/Holborn myself !! And then there's one taxi company being accused of cashing in during the LU strikes today... Walking = exercise Walking = not much slower Walking = saves up to allegedly quadruple taxi fares being charged Walking = could save money paid in amounts like it's going out of fashion, to go to a fashionable gym !!! I do however acknowledge that the weather today wasn't friendly this evening re walking, however this morning, it seemed okay to me...
