You have A, are very close to C (no clue version available), much further away from B (clue version below) and don't even qualify for clues for D, the link or the odd-one-out. Location A: Between Acton Town and South Ealing - Ascott Avenue/Elderberry Gardens bridge [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location B: (click for a larger version) Location C: No clue version available. Location D: No guess so no clue. Link: Unguessed Odd one out: Unattempted

They're all between stations? And the Goblin one is currently closed?

They are all between stations, but it's something about which particular stations they are between that we're after today. The Goblin one is currently closed, but that's not the odd one out.

C = between South Ruislip and Ruislip Gardens? They're all between stations where one of the stations is called 'South'?

Correct on both counts, so which is the odd one out? Location C: Between Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip - Chiltern lines from eastbound train [Chris M] (click for a larger version)

Correct on both counts, so which is the odd one out? I'm not very good at these, but I might as well have a guess. Is C the odd one out, because while they are all between stations where one of the stations is called 'South x', C is the only one where the other station also has x in its name? (To be precise, C is between Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip, they are both stations in Ruislip).

You are correct you're not very good at these :-p Is C the odd one out, because while they are all between stations where one of the stations is called 'South x', C is the only one where the other station also has x in its name? (To be precise, C is between Ruislip Gardens and South Ruislip, they are both stations in Ruislip). C isn't the odd one out. The second station isn't part of it directly, but it will lead you in the right direction.

Whilst that may be true, it's not the answer on my card. You're getting there though.

B is odd one out 'cause train isn't going west to the second station? B is the odd one out, and you are thinking of the right sort of reason for why but you haven't quite got there yet.

South Hampstead is the only "South" station further north than the other station.

These locations are all north of stations named "South", except between Kilburn High Road and South Acton which is topologically north but geographically south west
