Looks like TFL have released an Invitation to Tender for the "Design, Manufacture and Supply of Passenger Information Systems (PIS)" for both the 72 and 92 stock. I'm not sure if this just means visual displays to work with the existing announcements or a completely new system.

i thought 72 had PIS - as on Piccadilly line so you meant the bakerloo line one?

i thought 72 had PIS - as on Piccadilly line so you meant the bakerloo line one? It's 197 3 stock on the Piccadilly. You're right, it's the Bakerloo that has the 1972 stock - specifically 1972 Mk2 stock (and a very small number of converted Mk1s if we're being pedantic).

I see it's just 85 off 92TS. Doesn't include the W&C trains.

I see it's just 85 off 92TS. Doesn't include the W&C trains. The W&C units are in somewhat of a time machine. They don't have the new cab ends or window frames, not to mention various ATO/ATP mods. The Central and W&C units seem to be diverging more and more

Presumably the need for new cab ends and window frames is diminished on the W&C due to the lack of adverse weather the units encounter?
