Is the link to do with the locations so far all being terminus stations (perhaps even more specific, at the north end of a line?). I don't know location D and whether it fits or is automatically the odd one out

D is Chingford Station, those are the old GER signal levers. All four are Northern End Termini situated in Zone 5 and my guess is that Edgware is the odd one out as it was unintended for it to remain as a Terminus station.

If Chingford is not at Platform 1, I'd imagine that could also be the odd one out, since the descriptions seem to all include that so far.

Well it's a ground frame, but I don't think it actually operates any signals. Sorry, being a pedant, sounds like a good shout for the quiz answer!

There was a plan for the line from Chingford to be extended to High Beech. I wonder if Enfield Town might also have been planned to be a through station? That could mean that Cockfosters is the odd one out as there haven't been plans for it to become an intermediate station.

Edgware ...........was unintended for it to remain as a Terminus station. When opened in 1924, Edgware intended to be the permanent terminus. It required major rebuilding in the late 1930s to allow it to operate as a through station, but as we know the work was wasted as the extension was never built.

It's nothing to do with Extensions, go back to platforms.

They all have 3 platforms, maybe one of those used to have 4 or 2?

Correct, these are all three platform termini, Chingford is the odd image out because it wasn't taken from Platform 1.

Yes I'm very familiar with the timeline of changes at Edgware, hence why I used the word 'remain' instead of 'built' or 'designed'.
