The inset (type of tree) is the name of the station in the next sequential clue? D still missing at this point so very hard to guess further..

Could B be Poplar?
And if the inset to C are what I think they are, and if "humbug"s theory is correct, D would be Limehouse.
(Would identifying a picture before the link to it is fixed be a first on this quiz?)

This is fiendishly hard! I found a photo confirming B as Poplar, the red support seems to be a lift support to one side of the tubular pedestrian bridge.

Mind you, that puts my earlier theory in serious doubt, the Cypress tree is an evergreen, and the tree in location C isn't.

You have all of the locations but none of the insets or the link and odd one out. Answer: Location A: Elm Park - ramp to platforms [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location B: Poplar - bottom of lifts to south and westbound platforms [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: Burnt Oak - wooden recess seat [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location D: Cyprus - stairs from westbound platform [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Clues: Inset A: (click for a larger version) Inset B: (click for a larger version) Inset C: (click for a larger version) Inset D: (click for a larger version)

..which would mean Cyprus is the odd one out - sounds like a tree, isn't. :-) I'm feeling more generous than Colin it seems, and I'll give you the link and odd one out for this. The card says: Cyprus is the only one of these stations that doesn't have a tree in the name If the insets are related to the types of trees in the station names, then that is entirely coincidental!

Is A the odd one out as it is a place of multiple trees? (at least in London)
Or D as the only type of tree misspelled

I think Inset A is a view of One Canada Square, with a another tall building just in front of it, but I cannot get the perspective right to guess where it's photographed from.

It is One Canada Square with another tall building just in front of it. Where it is photographed from is what we're looking for though.
