Can someone please confirm on which stocks the ventilation sliders actually function?
As far as I can tell, on the 95/96TS moving the little knob from "Open - Ventilation - Closed" doesn't seem to do anything, as looking through the grille nothing seems to move when the knob is moved.
Also on the 92TS some of the sliders seem glued/stuck.
What about the others?

The 72 and 73 stock have them, and they seem to work.

Here's a little "now it can be told". Those sliders on 96/95TS, at least as built, did indeed operate a flap in the air duct. But those ducts form part of the return air path to atmosphere outside for the forced air ventilation, so have to remain open for the ventilation to work to specification. So they were deliberately designed such that moving the lever and flap gives you the weighted feel of having done something but in fact the flap has little or no effect on the throughway.
This led to a 'couldn't make it up' situation during PPP where infraco would be abated for the slider not working when LU itself had contrived to have the trains built so that intentionally the things were effectively pointless. Eventually sense did prevail on that but it wasted more time and money...
