Unfortunately doesn't get very positive reviews on Amazon.co.uk
At the moment I have the following books on London Underground Rolling stock:
London Underground Rolling Stock - Brian Hardy (2002) London Underground Rolling Stock in Colour for the Modeller and Historian - John Glover (2009) The London Underground Tube Stock - J. Graeme Bruce (1988)
I'm planning to buy Tube Trains Under London - J. Graeme Bruce (1979) and will continue looking for other potential buys.

I have checked this book out in Ian Allan shop and I agree I would not buy it, shame that Hardy did not bring out a new edition much better even the Andrew Emmerson book was not as good.

The new Ian Allan book is riddled with errors, sadly.

Avoid Glovers work, it's never very detailed, original, or well researched. Nor proofread. For the same kind of price it'd be better to buy a used copy of the out of print publications that LT used to do themselves. Steam to silver, Tube trains under London, eg. Any book by Hardy or Connor is easily worth the cost. And as for pictures, lt museum has a lot to view online and some very interesting ones are starting to accrue on Facebook.

Even Twilight is better than that.

By far the best 'current' stock book for LU is, in my opinion, respected photographer Jason Cross' 'London Underground Guide 2014'. Unfortunately the 2014 edition has now sold out - although you may be able to pick up copies second hand - however I am reliably informed that it is being updated for a second edition to be released in early-2015. A bit more info: www.videoscene.co.uk/london-underground-guide-2014.html(N.B. Although I know the author I have no connection with the publisher or such like, and am posting this for information only.)

Avoid Glovers work, it's never very detailed, original, or well researched. Nor proofread. I have noticed a number of repetitive faults with his work, including image subjects in shadow, errors from use of photoshop, as well as technical inaccuracies and the issues Ben raised. The issue with proofreading is common to a number of Ian Allan books - use for research at your own risk! Generally something from Capital Transport is likely to be better researched and proofed - I too would recommend Brian Hardy's work over anything from John Glover.

Brian Hardy is a hard a act to follow as his knowledge if the Underground both old and current is second to none..
Maybe one more outing Brian?
