With plenty outstanding from October and earlier, it's time to start another month. This penultimate twelfth of 2013 begins with a single part question: (click for a larger version)

I suspect the forum staff have only ever been to one preserved railway outside the London zones.

I suspect the forum staff have only ever been to one preserved railway outside the London zones. If you want to see photos from other railways used in the quiz then send some to me - cmckenna at sucs dot org. They'll appear on or after the 5th of November (images up to the 4th have already been created).

I suspect the forum staff have only ever been to one preserved railway outside the London zones. I note the winking smiley, but do feel the need to point out that I first met mrfs42 when we were both working on a preserved railway a fair way from London! It was whilst studying an LU signalling diagram laid out along the floor of one of their cafés that I was persuaded to join the forum! Chris M has hit the nail on the head, if you want to see more variety in the quiz send him your pictures. You never know, you might not recognise your photo when it features and have a guess at it (and in my case get it wrong!)

Well you have the background but not the main location. I'm not sure how much more illuminating the unmodified version will be, but here it is anyway: Answer: (click for a larger version) Background: Ropley Station, Mid Hants Railway (Watercress Line) [Caravelle] (click for a larger version)

Aldgate? There was one or two of these around the entrance there not so long ago.

These are near the entrance to a station, but this station is not in the City.

Yes, these are information panels with a short history of the station on the wall of the concourse. From memory they are next to the entrance facing the Overground station but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I suspect the forum staff have only ever been to one preserved railway outside the London zones. Possibly so - as hinted at upthread I was permanent staff on one of the preserved railways.

And Phil is (or was, I'm not sure) a driver on a preserved railway in GWR territory.
