South West Trains had a little 'earth fault' within Clapham Junction yard yesterday afternoon, preventing several sets of empty stock reaching the mainline. Under the new mainline railway scheme where Network Rails recovery agent (DB Schenker) only attend mainline incidents and not incidents on private sidings unless a prior contract is in place, the timely arrival of London Undergrounds ERU team appear to have re railed the mainline emu, thus allowing the trapped stock to be released. Well done to them

Perhaps NR should contract the ERU as recovery agents for incidents in London - they have the expertise and presence to do the job.

I believe the eru attended the one under at harrow and wealdstone a couple of weeks ago so I believe this is becoming more common

The ERU is always available to National Rail in the London area - they attended Potters Bar, Paddington & Southall also in recent times.....

ERU (Emergency Response Unit) teams at various locations geographically around London, formed after the merger of the 'Breakdown' Gangs & Permanent Way emergency teams in 1992.

The ERU is always available to National Rail in the London area - they attended Potters Bar, Paddington & Southall also in recent times..... Second this, we had a ERU wagon come up to Potters bar recently, from what I gathered it was a one under. I was very confused to see the ERU outside of London.

The ERU is always available to National Rail in the London area - they attended Potters Bar, Paddington & Southall also in recent times..... i had a guy stay in my holiday gite here in france this year,and he was part of the eru team.as i was a mainline driver,we hada lot to chat about.he said that the eru had a contract to attend all incidents on the c2c line.
