Thanks for that.
I would love a trip in 1938 stock.
Are there any photos of the actual train they will be using? For some reason they do not provide a picture on the site.

The fact that the museum site referred to it as 'Art Deco' made me wonder if they'd restored one with some esoteric decoration. (I really wanted to travel in a standard version.)

How come when ever there is a 38 stock trip it is always to Heathrow, kind of unusual as the Heathrow stations are a busy hub for airport users. Wouldn't make sense to pick a quieter line or a different section of the line?

I don't know about "always to Heathrow", it feels to me like its banished to the top corner of the Met.

These odd tours around Heathrow are likely just turning trips that the LTM are able to raise funds from at the same time, and so they should!

I know that, like most Underground stock, it's "handed" - (A-end of one unit can only couple to D-end of another) but that train is now one of a kind, so there can't be much it can be coupled to, whichever way round it is.

It helps to even out wheel wear.

Why would it need turning? To give variety in the photographs.

Out of interest, what time have you been told the train will be at Acton Town? The LT Museum website says 12:35 Acton Town platform 1.
