Just out of curiosity, when was 5115 last at the leading end of a train, in the five or so years I had been tracking A Stock movements until their withdrawal, I never once noted 5115 at the front of a train. Was the cab a dud, or equipment robbed or something? Or did I just never notice it?
Thanks,

Maybe that unit was never turned, or perhaps when it was re-coupled, it was always the middle unit. You never know, 5114 could have had an iffy coupler. But then again, I am just a punter, so what I have just said could be entirely false!

I think I've seen 5115 leading first though 5114 leading was always much more common.

Looking through my A Stock photos the only one I have of 5115 leading is when the unit was on its own on the East London on 25/4/07. It even went for scrap with 5115 in the middle.

I have videos of 5115 on the end of a train with unit 5074 on 17/09/2010 and with 5070 on 25/02/2011.

I remember seeing the unit coupled to A62 units a fair bit so it may have had a problem or it just ended up in the middle. I'm sure I saw it leading a few times...
