Background to D is Derwentwater. It probably is Catbells in the background, but I concentrated on the foreground, labelling the photo "Canada and Greylag geeese on Derwentwater, viewed from Keswick" (click for a larger version) Yes Maiden Moor (left) and Cat Bells (right) are the two prominent peaks above either side of the goose in the foreground. Some of the first fells I was dragged up by my parents fifty odd years ago. I would only be able to ID the goose as 'Big bird,wading'. Andy

Canada geese are easy to identify, but for the other I had to use the RSPB bird identifier to get beyond "probably a goose of some sort"!

The orange beaked birds looks like Greylag Geese

That's what the RSPB finder suggested, hence "Canada and Greylag geeese on Derwentwater, viewed from Keswick"
