Maybe someone like Racka will know but has the legacy signalling not been removed as part of the upgrade? At Victoria on the southbound the former white ATO aspect that's built-in to the wall still lights when the new signal aspect clears. The others may as well though they appear to be covered.

This caught me out a few weeks ago, you should have heard the controller's reply when I told him I was looking at different coloured signals at Victoria southbound. When the line was re-signalled, the headwall signals were covered over, this has left the problem of station staff being unable to see what aspect the starter signal is showing. So starting with Victoria, the former white aspect on the headwall signal is being used to indicate to station staff when the starter signal clears.

If this is a signal rather than an indicator, why aren't the other aspects marked with a white cross?

ahh, perhaps cost-cutting has removed Tippex from the stationery cupboard.

ahh, perhaps cost-cutting has removed Tippex from the stationery cupboard. Or someone's taken it home to grow perlagoniums.

I can see the rationale for this being done but is the white aspect linking to the new signalling system or, being old-style indicators are they still linked to the legacy signalling? Surely the old-style must have been removed by now? Didn't they use lit indicators somewhere on the platform on the Jubilee line to show the train had been given a target speed? Could this have not been factored into the Vic line works? In any case the LED aspects on the new signalling are so bright that you can easily see the reflections of the colour on the platform, especially the blue, even if you can't see the aspect itself.
