Today is a multi-part question, that was originally planned for a few days back but suffered technical difficulties.
At the time of writing the difficulties are ongoing, so to take us to The Quiz, here is "Sailing by":

Your claim of £5 is invalid on account of Sandetti Light Vessel Automatic [the most pessemistic of Coastal Stations] currently falling slowly.

Your claim of £5 is invalid on account of Sandetti Light Vessel Automatic [the most pessemistic of Coastal Stations] currently falling slowly. Rockall, Malin, Hebrides, Bailey. Southwest hurricane force 12 or more. I've seen Sandetti - I was on the way to a quarter at Great Mongeham or another tower that way...

Technical difficulties (quizmaster's been too busy) remain for the multipart question, so it's been bumped another day. Here is a single part question in it's place. As a bonus though there is a, err, bonus for working out why the station was chosen for today. (click for a larger version)

I was going to E-Mail in but unfortunately problems with my host currently mean that my E-Mail is inaccessible. This one got me thinking as I was 90% sure it was a DLR Station due to it's characteristics so I had to think through all of them and work out if it was and if so, which one. My conclusion: Pudding Mill Lane. Maybe next time Chris . As for the bonus well I was thinking something 9/11'y but couldn't think of any link and then thought the only other thing it could have been was Olympic related but with London 2012 now finished what could it be. Although not directly linked to today is it something to do with the station reopening tomorrow?

Of course - today is the last day that Pudding Mill Lane station is closed! (Wait, or is it tomorrow is the last day?) (Is it even Pudding Mill Lane? )

@ mrfs42
Have you played the Lobby Ludd deviation with your last call?
If so, I claim my 10/-, even though l have neither a copy of the News Chronicle nor the Sunday Dispatch

I miss Finisterre (and Minches). "Darkness outside. Inside, the radio's prayer —Rockall. Malin. Dogger. Finisterre." - Carol Ann Duffy.
