I've just had a postcard from a Mrs Trellis of North Wales, this was the front: (click for a larger version) On the reverse were twenty eight penny stamps and the words "I've no idea where I am, please send help. Mrs Trellis." Two locations and an inset for you today please, with still plenty to go at over the last couple of days too.

Covering the image up with a smaller copy of the image doesn't work when you can click on the image to make it huge Although I must admit the right hand side confused me and made me think we were leaving Cyprus station! I will half +1 Deep Level's, it's either that or... Between Custom House and Prince Regent

I don't think that the funicular inset is Paris - looks more like Austria or Germany to me - though I've no idea where!

NOT the Montmartre as the Montmartre funicular always has dozens of Senegalese hawkers around it trying to flog "stuff"

Oh dear oh dear, no points for anyone today. Many suggestions of "Royal Victoria to Custom House", however the answer for location A is actually (according to the card) between Custom House and Royal Victoria, September 2010 [Chris M] (click for a larger version) As for location B, you seem to be struggling, have this: (click for a larger version) There is also an inset: (click for a larger version) The author has spotted his own photo, and remembered his photo from the same soirée a few weeks back which no one has yet identified. I'll leave the photographer to identify themself. This isn't France.

Case firmly rested I think, I'll take my points in the morning .

So I don't get duplicate locations in my database, I've taken to listing the stations in alphabetical order regardless of direction of travel. This isn't totally academic as I found I had both between Cyprus and Gallions Reach and between Gallions Reach and Cyprus as separate locations! Right from the earliest 'between' location (which I'll look up later if anyone is interested) I've regarded either order as correct unless the two tracls take very different routes.

B is neither Blackhorse Road nor a direct train journey from there.

A guess - could B be West Ruslip?
Another guess - could that funicular be in Prague?

The inset funicular looks a lot like the Festungsbahn* in Salzburg, just round the back of the cathedral.
GH
* That's the passenger one - there is a freight-only one round the back of the Festung (which has been running since 1521, I believe), and is extremely difficult to photograph..

Inset: Festungsbahn in Salzburg on 7th May 2012 [Gantshill] (click for a larger version) I'm sure the photographer will enlighten us as to which one it is.

It is the passenger funicular. Well done grahamhewett.
On the same trip to Salzburg I took a photograph that has not yet been identified. It was in a quiz last month.

On the same trip to Salzburg I took a photograph that has not yet been identified. It was in a quiz last month. It was one of the insets in the quiz on 28 June. I said above I'd look up the first 'between' location, it was Between West Ham and Bromley-By-Bow on 23/02/2007.
