Some blobs on the Met line have gone fully blue. Does this mean that only the S stock are serving these stations now with their platform matching floor heights?
I'm really not sure about the cable car being on the tube map. I know the Mayor is doing it to promote his pet project, but it is a tourist attraction and shouldn't be cluttering the tube map more than it already is.

Just a few weeks away though! (thanks for the info, hadn't noticed them earlier!) I note the TfL website now says for Amersham, Chalfont & Latimer, Chorleywood, Pinner, Wembley Park, Euston Square, King's Cross: "New, more accessible trains are currently being introduced on the Metropolitan line. While we replace the old trains, the step and gap onto the train will vary. If you require level access, you will need to board a new Metropolitan line train."

So if you are travelling from, say, Euston Sqaure to Amersham / Chesham, you better hope it isn't an A stock or it's another 30 minute wait!

Has anyone on here got a historical collection of Tube maps? It would be great to see the one that was current in July 1973 if anyone has the time to scan it.

I don't know about July 1973, but this website has a large collection of historical maps, including one from 1974 and one from 1970. Is it possible that there were no intermediate updates, or do they simply not have the stated map?

No.1 1973 cover: tinyurl.com/clu2qmtmap: tinyurl.com/cavjvcrThere was only one 1973 dated edition, there were 7 in 1972! (Any more historical items should now go in the appropriate place, lets keep this thread for June 2012)

Slightly OT, but this means that every morning at 06.30 the TfL travel service sends me a text about Amersham station. I'm happy to receive texts about service problems, but this is just annoying. I wish they'd take this message off the website (and not just by scrapping all the A Stock ;D).

Still don't understand why Canada Water overground line is not step free from street to train. sounds like error on printing or planning? My guess is that it's related to the ongoing lift works there. Certainly Jubilee line passenger(s) are being advised to get a bus from London Bridge if they need step-free access.

Certainly Jubilee line passenger(s) are being advised to get a bus from London Bridge if they need step-free access. True but irrelevant. The lift being repaired is ticket hall to street rather than ticket hall to platform so affects both jub and overground. Also the lift works are only the last few months, the map has been like this since last year. Ps only in Britain would it take months to repair / refurbish a lift
