While driving passed Headstone Lane station one Sunday evening last November thought I saw a Euston bound Goods Train passing through the Station, is this possible if so where did it join the line and where would it depart. Puzzled jimjams.

Are you sure the train wasnt on the West Coast Main Line, which happens to run parralel to the Watford DC?

If it was on a Sunday evening, there's the possibility that it could have been an engineer's train, if there was engineering work taking place on that particular day. The DC line (or parts of it) are closed on some Sundays. Did it look like a ballast train?
Depending on which way it was going, it would "escape" either via the link on to the WCML at Watford Junction or at Willesden Junction or Camden.

3S74 Willesden Euroterminal-Willesden Euroterminal via Watford Jn DC Rail Head Treatment Train was scheduled to pass Harrow & Wealdstone DC southbound at 2146.
If your train was top and tailed (filthy) class 66s with three wagons with blue tanks and modules on it was probably that.

Had forgotten about that particular train! Yes - very likely, I'd have thought.

Spot on it was about 9.45 on Sunday 27th November last, mind you I have no idea what the job of a 'Rail Head Treatment Train ' is. Thanks jimjams

I looked on a website and saw an entry for a freight train to run up and down the DC lines but that was this week, surely too late for a RHTT train? I'll try and find it again...
