It has been languishing at Ruislip for several years, is still there and has no future, apart from the scrapyard in the sky. Hence the new one.
There are four ex-Vic Line motor cars at Acton which will be used as motor cars for the new train - two motor cars - new vehicles - two motor cars.
The cars are in fact 2x1967 and 2x1972 MkI.

Why does it need four motor cars? Especially ones with driving cabs...

Why does it need four motor cars? Especially ones with driving cabs... Because the 67TS rolling stock don't have UNDM or NDM cars. Presumably the weight of the equipment carried on the special trailers requires four Motor cars, indeed one wouldn't want to make the same mistake that was done with the AIT.
