Apart from those who will operating their layouts is anybody else planning to go to the above event on either the Sat/Sun. If so how about an informal Forum meet somewhere at the Depot.

We normally go and have a meet up yes. I think most go on a Saturday however the ticket is usually valid for both days.

If so how about an informal Forum meet somewhere at the Depot. No need for an informal meet - its been an official forum meet for 5 or 6 years now!!

Thanks Colin as a relative new member I was not aware of this arrangement. I am only use to working at the Depot from the day it opened, not being a visitor attending a Forum Meet. May I ask where everyone normally rendezvous at the Depot. Does the Forum make any special arrangements with the LTM management to have a room made available to meet in.

The normal thing is that some meet in Central London, there's a separate meet at Acton Town tube, plus outside the venue, and of course there is the forum phone to find everyone.
Details will go up in advance.

Details will be made available nearer the time, but we are never that formal!!
The format is usually something like meet at a given time at the entrance........wander round the museum (either as a group or individually).........maybe do a bus trip........then it's off the Red Lion & Pineapple (5 minute walk) for a few beverages.

I hope to attend by buying the depot tickets at the same time as giving advance notice for renewal of my Friends membership. Surely it's the only way to help support that Jubilee coach project.

Oh excellent, it's one of my London friend's birthdays that week, that means I can definitely justify a trip to the Capital to HWMBO.
