Hey
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas
Right, back O/T
2012 looks to be an important year to get our capital's transport running effectively...
Are you looking forward to the world seeing our fantastic historical Underground railway?
Do you think the tube will cope with the Olympic demands
Will S stock be virtually fault free by the end of 2012?
Anything else I've missed
I'd be interested in people's views on the year ahead...

The Olympics, the Diamond Jubilee, maybe even Prince Philips funeral (they never die during the jubilee celebration itself...). And a mayoral election to start everything off! Staying outside the M25 seems like a very good idea. The Mayans perhaps got things right afterall...

I for one will be avoiding the Olympics as much as I can. Not that you can avoid them easily. At least the last two games were on the other side of the world and I was tucked up in bed when they were going on. ;D

Are you looking forward to the world seeing our fantastic historical Underground railway? Do you think the tube will cope with the Olympic demands? Provided business does what it needs to, and plans properly, yes everyone will cope just fine. Having said that, given the fact that a large number of businesses in London think that the Olympics will have no impact on them or their supply chain at all, the chances of business operating smoothly is minimal. As the saying goes: fail to prepare, prepare to fail. I'm already planning for both of my 2 particular situations, both of which will involve my having to travel during the Olympics. Will S stock be virtually fault free by the end of 2012? We can but hope...

The 2012 fare hikes upset me greatly..what's the poiiiint? You run overcrowded trains and increase the bloody amount it takes to get on them! Good money-making exercise for the olympics, but it'll reflect badly;
"Damn honey, it cost 6 shillings to go to our hotel 2 stops on the metro!"
