Hi
I've travelled this section many times, and I've always wondered why the train seems to go at such a slow speed, the track seems relatively straight!
Seeing as Stratford is an area in transformation, do you think there are plans to increase services to the area from the current half hourly off peak service?
Could the South Tottenham spur be used by LO to have an extra service to Stratford for the future?

I don'e know much about the line but I would guess that conflicting movements by trains travelling via Hackney Downs would slow things down a lot.
I don't know what the capacity is on the GOBLIN now, I know that in the past signal spacing severly restricted the frequency that could be run.

Thank you for asking this question bigbaddom. I have wondered about it so many times!
The timetable seems to have quite generous provision for Stratford to Coppermill Jn and Tottenham Hale and I can't understand why. Even with a slow crawl from Stratford the train always waits before the junction. I can definitely understand that the need to sequence trains due to the mixture of stopping patterns on the WAML but there must be a reason why the train just can't leave Stratford later and have a clear run into Tottenham Hale?
