Hi all, Once going past Northfields depot earlier this afternoon, i noted a unrefurbished train which looked to be a 1967TS, was that the train or a unrefurbished 1973TS? It was behind the covered 1973TS carriage Thanks

That's the 1972 Mk1 4-car unit that normally hides on the disused Aldwych branch of the Piccadilly. At the moment it's there because it has an out-of-gauge wheelset somewhere on it and so will be moved back during engineering hours at some point. It looks like a 67 because the Mk1s are incredibly similar to 67s. The Mk2s have some electrical and equipment differences to the Mk1s, not sure if they have different stuff to the 67s but there were some 72Mk1 cars inserted in 67 sets at one point. The only unrefurbed 67 car that was in existence was (old) 3016 (I think it was, may well be wrong) which was crash-damaged at Northumberland Park depot and left to rot at Walthamstow Pump House "museum". EDIT: It was 3016. www.flickr.com/photos/75881/5737756652/in/photostreamThere's the poor old thing being cut up, a similar fate to the rest of the fleet...

So you missed the two Battery Locos plus wagons and the Tamper that were in there due to a signal failure this morning at Ealing Common closing off their route home to Ruislip Depot Both left during the early afternoon to head back to Ruislip ready for the blockade. Regards, Dan

Regards, Dan Indeed. The engineers train came about 1500 I think followed by the Tamping Machine. That Tube Lines asset inspection train is meant to be doing some trial runs soon I hear. Do you work in the depot?

In the depot also there is a single carriage on its own right at the front when you pass on the train. Its covered over and never moves. I have been wondering, Is this the train carriage which was invovled in the London Bombings?
