I was intrigued to see some withdrawn cars at KRS Eastleigh today, we were there taking an ex LOROL 508 for a run up to Woking... Visible in the yard were 3003/3103/3084/4003 & 4103...(may be more indoors) all marked up 'Car for re-use DO NOT SCRAP'. As we were leaving 4084 turned up on an Alleleys low loader. Photos will follow soon as I can find the damn lead for my Camera! The chaps on site were of the opinion they were there for storage 'for LU infrastructure trains' I did get 4103 arriving on the back of an Alleys truck on the 16th, it was unloaded into the part of the yard where they get stripped out, and the bloke with the clipboard overseeing the manouver said it was there for some form of stripping then assesment prior to reuse or scrap.

The 67's as I best remember them:
Strange to think that they've got just over a week left.

Trains 247 and 250 were both 67TS today. 3160+3061 operating 247 and 3079+3159 operating 250. Spoke to a driver who said he counted 5 on the depot earlier this week.

Has 05+49 been seen since the end of May?
It seems that only the following have been out recently:
40+41 58+76 59+79 60+61
Don't think 34+85 has been seen for a while either.
These are the only 6 trains that are known to be remaining.

I suppose that ties in with deliveries, 6 x 67ts left, 6 x 09ts waiting to be delivered/go into service, and also the final 67ts trip next week.
Not sure if it's just me, but I can't remember something like this happening so rapidly! It only seems like months since they were rolling out the pre-production, and suddenly the end of the 67 is a few sleeps away!

Looking like four serviceable 67's left then, of which they can run two in service at any time. I wonder which units will be used for the last run?

I saw something about this earlier, damned if I can remember where though, but I'm sure it was from a link from here. Or was it the set number? Sorry, memory a bit sketchy at this time of day with various rattlings in the stomach, two of which make me feel as though I'm sitting on the ceiling!

I done several trips on the line today, The trips I done were, 1704 (SS5)-1734 (BRX),1737 (BRX) - 1809 (SS5) in carriage 3079 (V250), then the 1829 departure from SS5 to Pimlico, with 3061 which I then caught back to Green Park. 3061 had a non operational nearside headlight, suppose that might have to be rectified before it comes out again. I managed to take a photo of it when I caught it from Pimlico, www.flickr.com/photos/steve09photos/5863913949/ . There was also a copy of a poster in carriage 3061 from Metro-Cammell, talking about the production of 1972TS for the Northern Line! Was suprised to see it. Must have been someone in the depot being nostalgic www.flickr.com/photos/steve09photos/5864471972/

Yes, sorry, I have just been kicked in the direction of Twitter where I picked it up from, and it's set 247 and NOT a unit number being distributed around. The timings are on here though, with fives runs planned.

I will be getting another opportunity to see 3052 on Monday at the museum. I guess it is , as far as passenger runs are concerned, all constrained to train 247 in rush hours?

Train 250 is also sometimes 67TS operated, however it is hit and miss as to whether it is operated by 67TS, as it is rostered to finish up at Walthamstow, which doesn't happen for obvious reasons.

A personal audience with stored car no. 3052, in a fairly good condition although the vent on the cab divider was removed, perhaps for restoration. It also now hosts a supply of spar bulbs, reproduction car diagrams and adverts from various eras, although none of them are of Al Jazeera: the curator said that adverts selected usually reflect the events of the last year of operation, and the events of 2011 so far, perhaps warrant its inclusion.

Sounds dodgy. Was it a train fault?

It looks like the only units left in service are the (ugly) double-ended ones... True? (I guess that would aid operational flexibility.)
Is it worth hoping that two single-enders will be used for the final trip(s)?
Any chance that the times of the last workings will be posted on here (I don't think I've missed them...)?

Suppose this is due to 59/79 failing on it earlier and being then being replaced with a 09TS?

The last ever '67 will be the 19.01 from Brixton tomorrow according to @tomsedwards on Twitter (a BBC journalist).
