Dear 38 tube stock enthusiasts,
I hope you don’t mind me writing to you, but I thought you might be interested in a forthcoming heritage event on the Underground using the London Transport Museum’s 38TS 4-car unit on the Piccadilly and District lines on Sunday 19th June.
The proposal is to run four non-stop trips as follows:
Northfields EB platform to High Street Kensington (reverse) to Hatton Cross and then all three Heathrow stations (4, 123, and 5) and back to Northfields EB. The trip takes about 1h 45mins and is to cost £20 a seat. There will be around 150 seats per trip so there should be plenty of opportunity to nab one, if you’re interested.
We are currently planning trips leaving Northfields at 0900, 1100, 1330 and 1530, although final timings have yet to be set – we’ve not written the timetable yet!
Tickets will be sold by the London Transport Museum very soon. Please check their website often to see when the event is advertised and tickets are being sold.
