Including both stations I specifcally wanted to photograph today! The Thames Clippers seem to be doing good business as a result though.

It's strange how whenever there is a strike, the northern always seems to be running a good service does come in very handy.

They are determined to Keep showing a good service on the Northern Line but I don't think a train every 10 mins in the peak is a Good Service LOL

I had to travel from Perivale to West Ruislip this morning (travelling on to Birmingham). There seemed to be a 7-20 minute service at that point between West Ruislip and White City, although the train I was on had very few passengers - perhaps four got out at West Ruislip.
At Perivale, it was impossible to touch in with an oyster card. All three gates had the red cross on, and the manual gate had a legend on its screen stating words to the effect of "no Entry - use for exit only".

How they can claim a 40% service beats me!

Just wanting to say a thank you to the met line staff who were able to get a service running to Baker street at least. Was very much appreciated!

Well I went from West Brompton-Victoria and as the train I was surprised to see it empty, but then the seats filled up as it went eastwards. I found out at High Street Kensington that there was a service running between there and Ealing Broadway using C-stocks

I spoke briefly to the Northern Line General Manager, a nice bloke, on the gateline at St. James's Park this evening. He was quite proud that the Northern line had come out of it quite well.

Kudos for TfL, they are providing a decent online tool to help us get around. When it works. It took me at least five goes to run a search this afternoon.

**Gentle Nudge**It is unfortunate that a moderator started the thread drift regarding staff passes but can I remind you all that this thread is dedicated to services being offered during the strike - if you wish to discuss anything else to do with the strike, please use the existing Forthcoming tube strikes thread. EDIT: I have moved some posts across to the correct thread so that the drift is now minimal.

Kudos for TfL, they are providing a decent online tool to help us get around. I'm afraid I disagree. For a start, TfL employs staff whose job it is to keep information up to date; that's what they are paid to do. They are paid with public money. If they weren't keeping people up to date it would be a matter of some concern! Second, I don't think they did a job that was any better than normal. As noted elsewhere, not all the information was correct and was some of it was incorrect for the entire day (eg Mile End listed as closed when it never was). While I appreciate that keeping open stations was a higher priorty, it wasn't much use doing so if nobody knew they were open until it was too late. A big 'thank you' to station staff who *did* work yesterday. A big thumbs down to the Bakerloo managers who did not pass on live information about station closures, even to drivers; this left drivers announcing whether the next station was open or closed only when pulling into the platform. Fat lot of use if you're a tourist heading to Paddington...a lot of bewildered people ended up in Warwick Avenue having been told Paddington might be open.
