At present, Stockwell station is closed due to a fire alert. The Northern line is running a normal service, with the exception of non-stopping Stockwell, whereas the Victoria Line has been suspended between Brixton and Victoria. What are the reasons for needing to suspend the Victoria line, but not the Northern line?

Possibly, the actual problem is on/near the Victoria Line platforms.

One scenario would be a minor fire in some rubbish in a suicide pit on the Victoria line, meaning traction current being cut.

Just brakes hanging-on on a 67TS. Because it might have been something worse, the train behind was worked WDM to Vauxhall, which delayed the resumption of service in the event.

As much as I will miss the 67 stock, they are starting to show their age and are becoming more unreliable. They are looking tatty inside too - not worth doing much about that now, just helps to make the 2009 stock look even more pristine!
