Also, these NR fares will still count towards a travelcard cap. One tiny problem with that statement, taking my local area as an example...... Oyster PAYG is being extended to Grays from both Upminster & Rainham (that's on c2c if you don't know). Upminster & Rainham, despite the Essex postal address, are both in London's Zone 6 and so are certainly able to count towards a Travelcard cap. All of the stations that join the scheme in 2010 (Ockendon, Chafford Hundred, Purfleet & Grays) are in Essex proper, outside London, and are therefore outside the zones and the Travelcard capping system. So what appears at first glance as a welcome move for stations up to Grays, is actually about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Now if the Travelcard zonal system were extended to Grays (and thus bringing with it the ability to use my staff pass ;D ;D), it would certainly look like a better proposition.... EDIT: in fact given that T fL has three bus routes in my area (347 to Ockendon station and 370 & 372 to Lakeside (Chafford Hundred)), on which Travelcards (and my staff pass) are accepted, it really ought to make a lot of sense to extend the Travelcard boundary to Grays - and perhaps even restore the 370 back to Grays too!!

Isn't it the intention that Oyster will be accepted on HC services into Heathrow in the future where people will have to pay a supplement which can be deducted from a PAYG Oyster? Then take it off the map for now, and put it back on again when it comes true. They're going to have to uncross-out Blackfriars at somepoint anyhow! It's also on there because this will more than likely replace all the London Connections map everywhere; so there'd be no other map showing the HS1 and Heathrow rail links. Therefore I think showing them with warning boxes is sensible.

"Oysterisation"! Is this Boris' entry for the George W Bush made-up-words competition?

A late response, but there is no such thing as a Travelcard capping system. There is only an Oyster capping system, which covers everywhere that Oyster PAYG is accepted. In the case of the "Zone G" stations (the c2c ones you mention, I guess the 'G' stands for Grays) the cap will be £18 peak, £13.50 off-peak for journeys including zone 1, or £12.60 peak, £7.60 peak for journeys excluding zone 1. The same fares as apply to Watford Junction.
