With nothing having been down there for over 50 years, I'm a bit surprised that the art works are not a bit exposed to drips of water, pests and other unpleasantaries! There's only six dates I can see that still have tickets available! I wonder what most people are going for, the art works or the venue?

I visited today - it was nice and tunnel (of course) is very impressive. As for the art installation itself - it is a good idea, but it is dwarfed by the size of the tunnel, so feels a bit strange.

Is this the only place in London now where you can see conduit tram track?
There used to be some in Woolwich in the early 70's, and the conduit change-pit at Canning Town, but ISTR that was removed with the building of the new A13 and taken to Crich.

I well remember the tram-tracks in Beresford Sq in Woolwich,I suppose it survived until the roads were remodelled around 1980. The little section of track at Battersea Wharf went around the same time.I can't think of any bits that are still to be seen, other than at the Kingsway Tunnel but I was reliably informed that, upon the abandonment, the junction of tracks at the Falcon,Clapham Jct. were simply tarmacked over due to the sheer complexity of the trackwork, and that the fact that metal tie-rods connected all the tracks and were sunk deep into the ground below as underpinning. Presumably track survived elsewhere like this? Roadworks in Caledonian Rd about 5 years ago produced a large heap of conduit yokes....

I can recall the tram tracks in the northen end slope, from the mid-1960s, and was amazed that thet were still there when I started working in Holborn in 1973, and then again in 1995-6! I am now gobsmacked that they are still visible. There are still some tracks set in cobblestones in Old Portsmouth's Sally Port area (Spike Island). Whenever I seem them I am reminded of Kingsway Subway.

Whereabouts in Manor House? I can pop up there anytime to check. There used to be Tramway offices (Ivy House?) on the North side of Seven Sisters' Rd just East of the Manor House Pub,where the 279 turns. Was the track there? Wasn't there also a bit of track in Penhall Rd in Charlton? Near where the depot was?

If you head out to Streatham... outside the bus shed, there is still a manhole/concuit cover in the path declaring it as Tramways property. Recent works to the pavement may have resulted in its removal...
Outside of London, there is a small 8-10ft section of tram track at Bulverhythe, on the main coast road from St Leaonards towards Eastbourne. It's right underneath the railway bridge next to West Marina shed.

Ah! That reminds me! Top of Brixton Hill, just before the South Circular,on the Left (East) of the road is a tramshed at an angle to the road.Has LCC Tramways above the tall door.Inside,if you can get a peek,is a fan of tramtracks, though whether they're conduit or not,I'm not sure. The shed is now used for buses and may be sometghing to do with nearby Brixton Garage.I think it was originally built for a cable-tramway,but I may be misremembering again. LCC Tramways manhole covers are still very common along the old routes. Some say "London Transport" on them.I undertstand that the old cable conduits are let out to cable TV and other such undertakings.

The track was certainly visible in the old Brixton cable tram sheds last time I was past there. It used to be a car dealership. This shed was I believe used for storing the trailer cars.
I used to live in Mitcham Lane SW16 and there are still quantities of manhole covers bearing the legend LCC Tramways. They are currently used for cable TV cabling!
Track is still visible in the Acton bus depot; is still under the tarmac at Fulwell, and was visible in the 1980s in the Stamford Brook bus depot. I have a number of colour slides I took in the electrical control building before it was converted to a night club. There are a few bits of track in Wandsworth depot too.
I've travelled the A259 many times but haven't seen the track mentioned at Bulverhythe. I'll have a look next time I'm along there.
Divrging a bit, there's also still a bit of trolleybus memorabilia near Raynes Park, with a pole still intcat with wires dangling from it! On West Barnes Lane IIRC. Oh, and the overhead supports on the bridge at Scrubs Lane, nearly 50 years after the disappearance of trolleybuses.

Don't get me onto Trolleybus standards,Roy mate! Tottenham Hale, where Ferry Lane goes over the BR station, there are 4 of'em,conbined traction standard/streetlight,with electrical boxes and at least one has an anti-glare shield for the benefit of train drivers.

Yes,there's a section of track about 20yds long on the Eastern side of Green Lanes, just North of Seven Sisters' Rd,right next to the Manor House pub (which isn't a pub anymore). It seems to be a depot access track, being at Right-angles to the street. It isn't conduit though, just plain track set in cobbles.
