Last night I saw passing through Harrow-on-the-Hill the tube vace. Set 640 saw a pair of battery locos sandwiching a few PW wagons, one carried a crane the other a box with tube vac on it. Has this replaced the TCT?

The Tunnel Cleaning Train hasn't worked as such for a few years (maybe 5 ot 6?).
It is in Ruislip depot close by the withdrawn 1938 Weed Killing unit - actually 'outside' of the sheds, both of which can be seen from passing Central and Chiltern trains.

Isn't Tube Vac the ballast cleaning train?

Yes. It carefully picks the ballast up, cleans it, then places it back strategically in between point blades and under trainstops, and anywhere it will shut the job down in the morning ;D ;D

I brought this up about a year ago, it's a ballast and drain cleaner, not a tunnel cleaning train.

I think that the Tube Vac gets sent to Harrow On The Hill for turning; I saw it at around 0600 one Monday morning. I tried to photograph it but an A-stock got in the way!

As far as I can recall, they don't have a turntable at Harrow ;D But you're on the right lines (excuse the pun). The turn-round is achieved by sending the train (via Harrow) to Rickmansworth then to Watford (or vice versa) and then back south.

When I saw it, the train continued through the station towards London.

Then most likely either reversing south to north via Neasden depot, or indeed heading to Neasden depot to outstable for some purpose.

with regards to cleaning the tube with a vac,it took me back a few years ago to a vintage book my father had.it showed pictures of women"fluffies",in the war years,dusting/cleaning the insulators and other equipment in the tunnels. when did this pratice stop, and ,if,what, replaced these women? :)keith
