A real 'find' for me today in Acton Works. A trial modification of a battery loco by Metronet for Tube Lines. Doors sealed up, cab extended back into the battery compartment, proper modern driver and instructor seats installed, front access through the M-door as per the Schomas and the short-lived '85 battery's. www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3402698144/

Oh, good find! This is very interesting. As is the 59/62ts sets behind. Good to see them still about! One wonders if the 85blocos will be revisited in the near future. They were ok bar the rubbish equipment they had.
On the way home tonight my Watford train was passed (just) by a pair of Battery Locos sandwiching a tamping machine. The set number of the working was 640 and loco 50 was leading. Where were they going?
