The cars were also limited in length by the need to get in and out via the lift!

Not a major problem - the 67 and 72 stock have external step plates allowing the driver to leave via the M door. . I would imagine the H&S reps would be very unpleased of drivers climbing out the rear cab with the possibility of a driver opening up at the other end and releasing the brakes! Hmm, I can think of a couple of ways round this: ~ Interlock a "rear cab clear" plunger with the starting signals, so they will not clear until the incoming Train Operator has confirmed he's left the cab. Big potential for delays if the T/Op forgets to do this though! ~ Interlock the M doors to either give a brake application or at least prevent the train motoring.

Couldn't the driver at the rear lower droplight window to cut out the motoring and raise it from the platform? It would be very surprising to see the 92ts leave the W&C - the Central could be the next line to be upgraded after the Bakerloo as it will be the only one without moving block signalling, the 92ts would also be coming up for replacement as well. This is 2018 onwards though - and will the 92ts last as long as that

I'd say a bigger problem with these stocks on the W&C would be the unsuitable interior layout in the motor cars. Eliminating the transverse seats would be very difficult, if feasible at all. Would it be essential to remove the transerve seats? And if so, why would be any more difficult than how they did it with the (similar) 1973ts?
