Whether it's LU or LO doesn't have anything to do with it being on the map or not. I think it would just be a lot clearer if it did appear on the map as "closed due to upgrade and extension of the line" along the existing track, with just a note saying that replacement buses operate (it doesn't have to be specified on the map itself, just in the notes.

there's also nothing stopping you have solid orange that's 'under construction' dashed saying replacement bus services, along the route of the buses.

Also, I dislike the fact that Zones have been removed (apart from Zone 7!) from the October map. The zones can now only be found on the reverse page. I must admit, when I saw the map yesterday it confused me - especially the bus route (in black) - I almost hoped there was a Northern Line shuttle service at one point! I like the solid colours for DLR and Overground, although the part of the Overground where it joins the Bakerloo Line didn't settle too well on the eyes at first glance!

 Plenty of zones on my map. Do you mean the official pocket map, or something in a timetable or leaflet or a poster? Zone 7 is white normally, so that would be hard to leave behind with zones 8 and 6 taken away! If these are an unusual variant of the pocket map, where did you get them? I need to grab an armful. |

The pocket/small version available in all stations. October 2008 - picked up from Epping at the weekend I think. All new updates made but zones left out. (Apart from Zone 7). I know - very strange!

I shall have to take a trip to EPping then. I have October maps from (iirc) Caledonian Road, Hounslow West and Somewhere on the High Barnett branxh of the Northern (not Tuffnell Park or Archway) and all have all zones
