Just to follow from Tom there, my instructor told me today that as soon as I pass, it's a free key into virtually every bus company UK-wide. People don't want the hours nor the pay (which is awful in this area compared with others)
Keep trying, these places seem to be screaming out for drivers, and seem to be consantly short staffed. Add to that, that bus travel is on the increase, and the need for buses is more than ever now, there must be hope there somewhere.
As stated, if I can, anyone can!

I have something else that I've applied for and would probably rather do than buses (more money, office hours etc.) but if that doesn't work out I've decided I'm definitely going to apply to Metrobus here in Crawley. I know someone who has recently just trained with them and he loves it there so it can't be all bad.
