Looking at the departure boards at East India, I note that we now appear to have extra trains between Bank and Gallions Reach, which would serve the Motor Show.
When did these begin? There did not appear to be any sign of them on Friday, leading to the King George V service carrying all the Motor Show customers as well as the commuters. It caused severe difficulty boarding trains at East India.

Why would they decide to run them to Gallions Reach, instead of Beckton? Normally, trains only terminate at Gallions Reach when they are going to Beckton Depot.

I could be wrong about what they are doing. Prince Regent would be another good terminating point of course.

I have just looked at the departure boards on the TfL website, and there are no trains terminating at Gallions Reach at the moment. The trains terminating there earlier were probably trains going to the Depot.

In the past when ExCel has held events, they have run extra trains from Bank to Prince Regent.

I am not sure they are bothering this year.

I am not sure they are bothering this year. May be down to the fact that due to the various upgrade works taking place, and also because Bank is running at capacity owing to the closure of Tower Gateway, there is no room for the extra trains.

Prior to the King George V extension there was quite often a shuttle from Canning Town to Prince Regent, with 3.3min frequencies along that section. I would assume that the current construction works on the DLR, and King George V trains are limiting the ability to run an enhanced service.
