I have seen some of this on youtube about the Old Network Southeast, and am desperate to see the rest! You can buy copies off some bloke on ebay, but theres always one bloke who bids about £30.00 to start with, and so have no chance . Anyone have an idea of where I can get a copy (free or £££) or where I can see it.

SOMEWHERE (anywhere?) I have a copy in VHS format which I recorded at the time it was originally screened.
If you have no luck elsewhere we might be able to come to some arrangement: I'd offer to copy it to DVD but the recorder's bust!!
EDIT By some miracle I asked my subconscious where it was, and went straight to it!! Made in 1993.

I've also got it recorded on VHS. I'll have to ask a friend to copy it across, since I don't have the capability of doing it myself!

That sounds suspiciously like shill bidding which is illegal. Might be worth asking eBay to investigate if it happens every tme.

The statement below is a direct copy and paste from the Home Office website.
"Fraud happens when somebody uses deception to obtain goods, services or money. It is a serious problem in the UK, and we are working hard to prevent it."
I would be interested to hear why "shill bidding" to "obtain money by deception" is not fraud and therefore a crime and ipso facto illegal.

I would be interested to hear why "shill bidding" to "obtain money by deception" is not fraud and therefore a crime and ipso facto illegal. I shouldn't really pass comment, but we're not talking about something 'by the deed itself' (ipso facto) - this, surely, is de jure - illegal by law not action. Shill bidding requires cooperation by more than one person - so the 'somebody' of the Home Office website quote is inappropriate in grammatical number. Apologies (honestly ), but the abuse of 'ipso facto' riles me as a Latin speaker (and has riled me many times before this). However, I wholeheartedly agree with the spirit of your response and concur that this sounds very suspiciously like shill bidding. (no hard feelings about your comment) (feeling sorry for Suggs).

Don't forget that Legal Latin has it seems become a corruption of Latin per se! It dates to 19th Century judges' use and probably owes as much to the original language as Jerseyais does to French.

There was a copy on you tube (in several parts). It was interesting and considering NSE got zero subsidy that year did extremely well under the circumstances. I'll see if i can find it later if you haven't found it in the meantime.
