I've just seen a youth (mid teenager I guess) do a complicated method to get onto the westbound platform at Debden without going through the ticket barriers.
I didn't manage to get a photo of him (not that his hoodie would make iding him easy), but I belive that there will be CCTV of him.
Who does one contact about this? Are there revenue protection staff who would do ticket checks on a train at short notice if it was reported that a fare evader was known to be on a specific train? (in this case I don't know if he still is (wb central line arr South Woodford at 1053) as he went at least two cars down the train through the connecting doors)

I would tell a member of staff discreetly at the station, if it really frustrated me, or use a help point if I felt the youth was likely to continue causing trouble.
Apart from that, I personally wouldn't get involved since it was not an emergency, and I doubt if anybody you reported it too would become too excited, since the youth would be long gone.
Is it worth you taking the risk to yourself, e.g. if you had photographed him? I personally don't think it is. Nobody was in any immediate danger, and you could potentially place yourself into a difficult position if the youth had seen you reporting him or taking a photo.
He still has to get out wherever he ends his journey, and the chances are he has already been fined in the past. When he does eventually get caught out, I'm sure (I hope) he'd be dealt with firmly.

Whats the problem, he cant keep fare evading for ever, eventually the crazy prices catch up with him and he will pay his pound of flesh.

I agree with James, I wouldn't put myself in a position where I could get assualted (or have the camera broken/stolen). Best thing is to have a word with the staff, and if he is persistent then Revenue will find a way to get him. I had two eastern european gentlemen busted at Waterloo, after they found it funny to double thhrough the gates at the same time every morning four days running. Not very clever really................they did it right in front of me, and it was always the same gate!
