I'll be taking a trip to Nottingham from St Pancras on Thursday. I've booked my tickets, which I have to pick up at the station. However all I've been able to find about where the ticket machines are to do this is the vague statement "concourse" - can anyone be more specific?
Thanks Chris

The EMT ticket office is underneath the Eurostar platforms,if you're coming from the Underground, walk past both sets of escalators up to the EMT platforms and the entrance to FCC and the EMT ticket office should be in front of you.

Darn! If I'd read your destination earlier, I could have nipped over to Nottingham and given you a guided tour of some of the finer drinking establishments.....

I was only there for the one night, and that was taken up with my reason for being there - namely attending an Amy Studt gig at the Bodega Social (not the finest drinking establishment in Nottingham, nor the finest venue of it's size I've been to (but the only one of it's size I've been to in Nottingham)).
I did take photos of the station (a few), trains (some), castle (may), Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem (a couple) the Nottingham life Museum (several) and the trams and tram stops as well though (hundreds - including at least 2 photos at every stop!)

I did indeed, thank you - it's a long walk from the tube station though!

It's often amusing how much longer the queue at the FCC office is than at the immediately adjacent EMT office. But then it's not immediately obvious unless you know that they can both sell any ticket that the other can.

what's the point in having 2 offices then? Wouldn't it be better to have 1 office with more staff?

The ticket office operator gets a commission (9% ?) on every ticket sold.

Ah the joys of the fragmentation of the railway network. Would it not be possible to run it jointly with 4.5% (or whatever half the figure is) going to each? Or would that be too complicated?

There's also no signage to say where the ticket offices are, wish I had a £1 for every punter who arrives on EMT platform concourse looking for the ticket office and are redirected downstairs.
