Many of them are available at the LT Museum and Transport Diversions websites portraying tube and bus travel. My question is if such DVD's can operate on DVD players here in the US?

You'll need a multi-region player (as we are in Region 2). You'll need to check that your DVD player can convert PAL to NTSC, though many have been able to do this for a while.

Alternatively, you need a television that can show both PAL and NTSC. Most will do that these days. Or, of course, play the DVDs on your computer.

Ensure your DVD player and TV are capable of playing PAL format. 2. If those DVDs are region-locked (it is not a requirement), make sure you have an all-region DVD player.

If your DVD player is not all-region, do a Google on the model number plus "video region". You will almost certainly get a number of sites that will give instructions on how to turn off the regional restrictions.
