Now I'm really clutching at straws here but if pylons can get a look in on DD's site then this isn't so off message after all.
More years ago than I can to remember, I was travelling through Kent and Surrey by bus using a London Country (LCBS) "Golden Rover" ticket.
I have a distinct memory of changing buses in Redhill on my way to Reigate garage. This was a part of the London Country "empire" I'd not visited before so I was slightly confused to suddenly see a familiar pole-mounted LCBS symbol ahead of me (albeit now carrying the NBC double-N) of the sort that had replaced the LT roundels on LCBS bus garages.
For a moment I thought I'd somehow already reached Reigate, but that couldn't be true, and I knew for sure there was no LCBS garage in Redhill. As I got nearer I realised it was actually a free-standing London Country enquiry office and no doubt dated from the LT era.
Well I was back in Redhill a few years' back and there was of course no sign of it left, and to be honest I doubt it even lasted to the break up of LCBS in 1986.
The point is does anyone else recall this building or is my memory playing tricks with me? I've checked the LT Museum on-line photo library but to no avail. The was obviously a tradition of LCBS (ex-LT) enquiry offices at non-bus garage locations as Sevenoaks and Crawley (joint-Southdown) spring to mind.

I have just been through the ephemera that survived from my bus spotting days in the mid 60s. Green Line timetables and maps just don't go to much detail and I don't have any Country bus maps or timetables. I didn't do Country buses much but did get around that way once or twice. My only clear memory of a pole mounted sign like that was Sevenoaks bus station.

I know an ex bus-scheduler that may very well be able to answer this question; however, it may be a while before an answer appears.

Well it was definitely there in August 1975 - unfortunately that's as much as my collection can allow me to confirm.

1975 was around the time I saw it. Pity I don't have any old LCBS sector timetables or the LT Green Line Coach Guide anymore as these should have listed such places.

speaking of LT Country Area/LCBS/Green Line, there are several timetables for these services for sale/auction on EBay.
