Ruislip is the odd one out as it is the only one served regularly by both Surface and Tube Stock

While Harsig's answer is true, and I'm not certain whether Holland Park has been refurbed or not, neither is the answer I'm looking for.

Heathrow terminal 4 is the odd one out because it is the only station of the four, which is located at an airport Or Ruislip is the odd one out because it is the only one where trains are scheduled to terminate at

Another random guess. Holland Park is the odd one out as it's the only station in that area, all the others have other stations within the same area i.e. West Ruislip/Ruislip Gardens, Dagenham Heathway/Dagenham East and the various Heathrows. Whilst Holland Park stands alone?

It is not related to where the stations are located, with other stations in the vicinity, or terminating trains.

Another stab at it then: Dagenham Heathway is the odd one out as all the others opened at the same time as the line that serves then while Heathway was a later addition

That's arguable in the case of T4, but anyway not the answer I'm looking for.
I'll give you a clue that Ruislip is the odd one out.

How about Ruislip is served by two lines, where as all the others are are only served by one line?

It isn't to do with the lines that serve the stations.

Mobility? Ruislip only has level access to one platform?

I still say that there are no posters on this forum named "Heathrow T4", "Dagenham Heathway", or "Holland Park".

Nothing to do with pigeons (although pigeons did feature early in the quiz when there was a photo of a wooden bird (owl?) at a district line station to scare them. It was Upminster or Barking I think, but I'm on the wrong computer to find which day it was at the moment)

Does someone still live in the Ruislip station building? If so, that may be one possibility.

I have no idea whether anyone does or doesn't, but that isn't the answer I'm looking for.
The answer is related to the platforms, but as already established, it isn't that Heathrow T4 only has the one.

Is Ruislip the only one with platforms that aren't straight?

Noone lives there. It contains a busmans toilet, male/female toilets, female waiting room, ss office, newsagents (with really nice chap), ticket office and kitchen and messroom, plant room, and something at the end.
Something about numbering? Ruislip has platform 2 as going to London.

It's not to do with the numbering of the platforms..... But it is to do with platforms (one way or another)

Something about reversing trains? Trains on the Uxbridge platform can only go in the direction of the nominal destination (Uxb or the sidings), same principal for the other side. No wrong road starts.
Interesting fact actually; the local area maps for the station show the location of a former crossover where the goods sidings were. These are the up to date ones btw.

It isn't about signalling, think more of the platform-train interface

It's not about gaps.

When you say 'gaps', are you talking about vertical or horizontal gaps?
Ruislip (I guess) involves a step down into a 73TS and possibly a step up into an A stock; the other platforms are flush with the door level.

It's not about vertical, horizontal, diagonal or any other sort of gap between the train and the platform. Although having said that it is related to where the platform is in relation to the train.

Is it that Ruislip's platforms are on the left hand side of the train but all the others are on the right?
