Actually there is Colin, I was talking about mainline District Trains coming into Earls Ct and using the HSK branch platform, of which there are appear to be quite a few booked! In the opposite direction the story is very different though! Call me thick (no don't!! ;D), but I don't follow you - there are no platforms dedicated to the High St branch.....trains from both platforms 1 or 2 can go there. Hang on.........are you talking about trains from Gloucester Road using platform 4? That is not an unusual move in the sense we are talking about here - like you say, many trains are booked to this. Oracle - your list now says that platform 1 at Earls Court is the main High St / Edgware Road platform. That is completely incorrect - trains from Wimbledon can only access platform 2. Trains from Olympia can access platforms 1 or 2, but mostly use platform 1. Actually, it would be more accurate to say Edgware Road from platform 1 is extremely rare - as this would depend on a C stock having come from Olympia, Ealing or Richmond.

I'm actually talking West Ken - Earls Ct - Gloucester Rd services, as that is rare according to the TT.

I suppose that's fairly true, but the signallers can often put you through 2 as they do like to 'play trains' rather than letting the program machine get on with it ;D. I agree though, that should go on 'the list'.

I can find a few instances of a platform 2 from the mainline... a quick look at the WTT shows the SuO 0859 EBDY - Tower Hill is a platform 2 train.

I have altered the page to refelect the new information...there is some underlining that I need to get rid of somehow!
Colin, I could not remember me for the life of it whether it was P1 or 2 that was inaccessible..so I plumped for P1 and got it wrong! Cheers..David.
I am interested in the new info about SWT using Point Pleasant..is that from the new TT? This differs from PSUL. It seems that the 2110 Weymouth can go either via Chertsey or Point Pleasant, and that this supposedly determines whether the Southampton goes via PP or not. I have no idea if this is correct. Also previously PSUL suggested that the Twickers last train was "booked as required".

This is from the new TT as of 10 December, yes.
The 2110 times are too tight to go via Chertsey.

TC, of course at the moment the 2110 can apparently go via Chertsey or Point Pleasant ..not sure which is booked now!
0005 MX London Waterloo - Bournemouth has time allowed for it to run via Pt Pleasant but ISN'T booked. This train has been known to go via Point Pleasant ... I suppose it all depends on any work being done.
I have finished fiddling with UPSUL* for today..anything else please PM** me!

<revives old thread/> Just found this thread about reversers in and out of passenger action form years ago. I presume all of the WTTs have changed since then. Are there still any timetabled reversers, particularly on the District, Northern or Piccadilly? Did the District reverse at Embankment at the weekend? If so, was this done in passenger service? Cheers

Only West to East can be done in passenger service off the platform. East to west is a detrain on the east platform and mainline shunt to the west then back in service.
