NORTHERN LINE: Severe delays are occurring to all destinations due to local power failure at Morden Depot. Message received 7.41am *Sigh* Nothing unusual there then That's from the TfL website - Why's the Northern so prone to cock-ups??

Cos it's old and in need of updating - like much of LUL, following years of neglect.

Plus, I might be right in saying that a local power failure may be beyond LULs control anyway.

Well it is down to LULs contractor EDF PowerLink to provide electricity, which used to come from Lots Road Power Station as well as the RECs. Since Lots Rd closed, there have been lots more delays/closures due to "power supply problems".
