Did Euston Square have a surface building at some point? All the pedestrian tunnels around the Euston underpass have been filled in, not exactly safe to walk in at night. Euston Square had a typical Met Rly C.W.Clark building in the Farringdon, Edgware Road, Great Portland Street style. The underground link between Euston Square and Euston is shown on the infrastructure plan as running from near the east end of Euston Square OR platform, then due north under the Cobourg St/Euston sub complex, to the south end of Euston (CX branch) platforms. Obviously there's no obvious sign of any access points (and I'm mindful of 'security' issues here) but I suppose it could carry HV mains or comms equipment today, or ever be sealed and derelict?
