When I worked at Ricky in the mid 70's the A stock fleet was 5000 to 5230 with 5088 to 5120 de-icing units.Using the north side of the Circle to get to King's X I've noticed that units 5002,5004 & 5122 are now de-icers and there are now two extra units running around 5232 & 5234.Does anyone know when these extra de-icers and units were created,I assume 5232 & 5234 were made up from units that have had mishaps, anyone know what units and what happened to the originals?

dunno about the deicers, but info about the renumbered ones is as follows:
5232-6232-6233-5233 was made up from 5028-6028-6117-5117 as long ago as 1985,
and 5234-6234-6235-5235 was the first refurb made up in 1992 by reinstating the derelict 5008-6008-6009-5009, this becoming a double-ended deicing unit.
