Yesterday evening the Met, Hot & Cold , and Circle were invaded in an unprovoked attack by a smelly green train and it's even smellier driver.
Today the Mets representative at Earls Court handed the German sorry District controller a note saying that if his forces had not left Metropolitan territory by 11pm last night that this line would be at WAR, I have to tell you no such undertaking was received, and consequently this line is now at WAR.
;D

Apparently the guilty party had only recently transferred from the Jubilee.

I'm surprised the forum's photographers have not yet provided evidence of the invasion.

I missed it i'm afraid. I was heading in my tank to another warzone, heading east of Barking. I just assumed a signal had failed.

I am led to believe an Upminster driver commited the crime, and has requested a transfer to that 'orrible red line............That's only a rumour though...

At least over there you can, to some extent, blame the train for going there.
I was not in a position to either assist / prevent the invasion. Nowhere near the desk.

At least over there you can, to some extent, blame the train for going there. Derek the District line train was feeling frisky and decided that he would do something different that day, so he called up the controller. “Please”, said Derek, “Could you put your bone-china cup of Earl Grey down on one of your little buttons and accidentally send me to Hammersmith? I want to go and see my friend Happy Harry.” “Well now,” said the medium-sized (politically correct) controller, “I’ll send you there if you do a little job for me. The controller took a dainty nibble at a hand-made shortbread that had been delivered that very morning from Fortnum & Mason’s. “Just take these buckets of water with you and drop them off at Westbourne Park”, he said, “Betty the bus has been smoking in bed again.”

Derek smiled and said, "Hi Harry! I'm on my way to Westbourne Park to deliver these buckets of water to Betty. The Medium-Sized Controller said that she was smoking in bed again." Harry shook his head and said, "Sorry, Derek, you're too late. Metropolitan Mike sent by brother Harvey down to Westbourne Park with some buckets already. I suspect you'll be sent back now." Derek shrugged and said, "Will you take the buckets anyway? The Medium-Sized Controller really wanted these delivered." Harry nodded. Derek handed over the buckets, turned around and headed off back to the Land of Green. "See you later Harry!" he called.

awww, a nice little story lol. A question who would win between the Met and the District...? My money would be on the District.
The District already rose up against the Met once, and she could do it again... Be afraid...

A question who would win between the Met and the District...? My money would be on the District. So go post in your own part of the forum then, if you love the green railway so much, and leave us who appreciate railways alone The District already rose up against the Met once, and she could do it again... Be afraid... Can't you see I'm quaking in my boots. You hit the nail on the head by calling the line "she." There are many times where it acts like a group of little schoolgirls ;D P.S. I've locked the door just in case!

P.S. I've locked the door just in case! Having once been locked in a room accidentally, I offer the following observations:- 1. Pizza placed face down on greaseproof paper slides under a door. 2. A Big Mac will slide under if it is dismantled first. 3. KFC does not fit.

Thanks for that useful advice, though I will definately pass on the effort required for the second item on that list. All that messing around with brown salad and half-cooked meat. I never said the room had a decent toilet did I ;D
Can't you just feel the thread slipping

Apology accepted. No one minds you talking about the green line. It's "their" forum after all. Just when you talk about the District beating the Met in the one area of this forum reserved for discussion by the gentlemen of the real railway, it tends to spark a bit of friction ;D Naive teenager indeed. I reckon you were sent to this thread to stoke the fire ;D
