I see that West Brompton, platforms 3&4 gained their new London Overground signs this morning.
It looks like they may be just vinyl stickers over the Silverlink branded ones, as they retain "change for Earl's Court and District Line" underneath. They have an 'Overground' orange roundel with West Brompton written in white on an orange background.

At Caledonian Road & Barnsbury, the westbound platform 'Welcome to' sign has had the 'Silver' wording part of ~link Trains covered over with masking tape... Camden Road entrance has a sign saying 'Services from this station are provided by ~~ Trains', the former TOC's name having been crudely covered over with yellow and black hazard tape...
I'm rather surprised to find that services are provided by Trains from a train station; course, silly me, I was expecting a flying banana.

Kenton has its signs blacked out, it is just showing the station names, whereas stations on the same route have Silverlink branding everywhere.
Just to remind everyone, Silverlink's last train is at 0201 on Sunday 11th.

The old website has already been changed over... some of the 313's still retain the branding... 313104 has been blanked off, crudely as ever! 313113 retains the branding.. I saw both these at Camden Road.

Well I am highly amused to see that we shall be renaming one of the stations to 'Wembey Central'
LUL....where cock-up is a technical term.
;D

Willesden Junction has a new sort of totem outside.. The odd thing is that it shows a London Underground roundel a London Overground roundel AND a Network Rail logo and at the bottom an orange rectangle with the words in white Willesden Junction ... very odd !!

London Overground is still part of the National Rail system, the track is maintained by Network Rail. So the sign at Willesden Junction does make sense - you'll see something similar at Upminster, with LU roundel, c2c logo and the double arrows, all fitted into/around the c2c colour scheme.

"Earl's Court and District line"? Whoever wrote that has received English lessons from the Northern line's DVA!

I went out and about at the top of the Bakerloo today, one of the 150s in the depot had London Overground branding and there were a lot of signs going on at Willesden junction. Photos of the LU bits are at inspectorsands.fotopic.net/c1406083.html

The first one is the old style in-car maps that are on many Victoria line cars, and on many Northern line cars too. Notice the absence of wheelchair signs?

Transport for London has specific corporate standards for display of signage, which is very detailed and covers, over numerous booklets, the various TfL modes. It specifies, amongst many other things, the means for determining the order in which the various roundels and logo's are to be displayed upon totums ! Very relevant at places like Stratford, which needs to show 4 roundels (Underground, Overground, DLR and Buses) as well as the NR logo !

Just been on the Richmond branch for the first time since the changeover to LU management at Kew Gdns and Gunnersbury. At Gunnersbury, they have put new stickers on the station nameboards which have the name in lower case lettering next to a small LU roundel - definitely not standard LU signage!
Kew Gardens have something similar, but with the name in capitals, and some of them seem to be stuck on with parcel tape!
Passed a couple of Silverlinks, one just had the silverlink name painted over but still in their colours. The other, while still in Silverlink colours, had a large London Overground sticker on the side (just text, no roundel).
All in all, it looks like what it is - a quick fix to delete all mention of Silverlink. Hopefully to be followed by something more permanent pretty quickly.

The trains wont be getting a makeover. They are going to wait to the new trains come with the new look. Looks like the LO on the side of the trains will stay with us for awhile. Ive got some pictures on my flickr of the trains with the LO stickers over them. I did see the little banners at Olympia on monday. Took a few snaps too.

The station side of things (ie, LU corporate standard) is supposed to happen in months, not years But yes, the trains will be a little longer before any change is seen.

During out 'Little' tour yesterday we saw lots of new roundels, including this one at Kenton. On close inspection the roundel was a bit tacky, with bits of red & blue missing where it had obviously been installed in quite a rush!

Travelled from Higbbury to Stratford on Saturday. Saw new signs at Highbury along with new timetables and other TFL publicity. However, it still looks and feels like a Network Rail station. Other stations between there and Stratford still have Silverlink style signs, although where it says "Sliverlink Trains", the word "Silverlink" was covered over.

Actually these are not the proper signs either, they are just stickers over the old ones, the only things that have changed is the publicity it is all TfL along to the johnson style lettering. As as been mentioned a lot of stations have had the 'Silverlink' stickered over, some like at Willesden Junction have all got the station name along with small writing saying 'Temporary Sign'. One thing you will notice if you listen very carefully to the announcement at Richmond is the automated announcement When it says 'The train on platform 4 is the 00.00 London Overground service to Stratford. You can hear that the London Overground part is not the same person who recorded the orignal announcements. keithy

How were the recordings for LU trains done now that they've sacked Emma Clarke? It's certainly her who announces "Change for the Northern line, and London Overground" at Euston. Did they just get her to do them and then sack her?

I had a mooch about the North London Overground Lines the other weekend. Not very impressed at all ! Highbury and Islington had the large orange oversticker. Another station ....i think it was Cannonbury looked as if it had the stickers at some point but they had all been pulled off (possibly vandalised !) As the old Silverlink station name was showing on several boards all covered in glue residue !
The "Way Out" signs had been overstuck at several stations with the TfL style of yellow letters on a black background.
Yesterday Gunnersbury appeared to be devoid of any station name plates at all !!
