I've alwas thought some of the staggered platforms to be odd i.e. Embankment District and Circle. Does anyone know why they were built like that? As I recall, Embankment was built with level platforms. When it was lengthened (1930s?), the other buildings around it meant that the platforms had to be extended at opposite ends.

Angel is quite strange with the very wide southbound platform, I know it's the old island platform but maybe they could have the passage between the platforms moved over a bit so both platforms were just slightly wide? I like them as they are though.
Also what counts as an interchange, does the clossness of the platforms mean anything, Paddington with the H&C platforms miles away from the Bakerloo, Circle and District. They were built as separate stations and they're shown as separate on the map but they are both connected to the mainline station
Charing Cross - now the Jubilee Line platforms have gone it's like 2 separate stations again, are there any other stations where the platforms are this far apart? It seems quicker walking Bank-Monument. Bank and Monument are quite strange too, put together even though they're further apart than Queensway/Bayswater
Embankment's very curved platform (built on part of the Charing Cross loop?)

I like them as they are though. It would have been difficult to move the passage, since the new platform was constructed while the old station was still in operation. When they finally closed the old station, they filled in the old northbound track, and knocked passages through the wall to link up with the new section.
