not parking on a level crossing? sure, i agree, it's a stupid thing to do.... i think that point was very well demonstrated!
obviously the hivis jacket thing was sarcastic... c'mon, honestly, do you really think ANYONE would think 'ooh it's safe to cross level crossings when the barriers are down if i'm wearing a hi-vis jacket, because Jeremy Clarkson said so after seeing a car demolished by a train, and then replayed in slow motion -twice- about a minute previously.'

I thought that was very fun, and I do love Top Gear. Just don't take it too seriously, and the message was still quite clear to everyone really.

 THINK! Always wear a high visibility jacket! ;D If you think about the general audience Top Gear is aimed at, do you think they'd rather watch that, or someone giving a long boring lecture!? I know what I'd prefer to watch, and it definitely got the message across better! |

ANOMALY SPOTTED! In the youtube video of Top Gear, notice at 02.39, there is a cab shot of a SINGLE TRACK LINE... do notice that the Espace is placed across a DOUBLE TRACK LINE... When I watched the clip for the first time I just assumed it's a single track line that splits in two before the crossing, near the bridge you can kinda see in the clip on the single track. Anyway, regardless of Clarkson's actions, the proof is in the pudding, read Espace. |
