I often think up weird and wonderful schemes for improving transport connections in London but often wonder how feasible in practice they are?
For instance connecting the ELL to the NLE electrics at Moorgate would generate far more traffic than the Dalston proposal. Even more so if it were then connected to the abandoned 'Northern Heights' infrastucture at Finsbury Park and pushed through to East Finchley or maybe Mill Hill East. A useful second link to supplement the thameslink services
The Jubillee could be extended to Hackney/Dalston and so bring the tube to a neglected area.
The Barking/Gospel Oak service could be pushed through to the NLL line to Richmond as an alternative to the District.
They talk of a new rail link to the north for the Channel tunnel services. Well there already is one. The old Great Central Railway was built to the continental loading gauge so why not revive it?
Crackpot things they may be but possibly worth studying
