I'd just write to all of your local companies! As you say, most of them don't do that sort of thing these days, but you may well get lucky!
LUL occasionally organise such things, but they'll insist on taking a photo for their internal magazine! I have no idea how you'd go about arranging such a thing though, and you'd have to be accompanied by an adult.

Unfortunately, to get an official cabride these days is a lot more than a drivers decision! We can get into serious trouble for allowing unauthorised people in the cab. I believe it has to be arranged through the customer services, who will then contact the line manager, who will then arrange for an Instructor operator to be available...

Oh right I meant that tone of the drivers could ask for me to get an inspector to go in the cab for the ride not unoffical.
I don't want you to lose your jobs!
I'll write to customer services then Cheers!
P.S i just thought if i knew a driver e.t.c it would be easier to get a cab ride as i am sure it's harder if you just ask!

I have tried to organise cabrides for 2 members of this forum without success. On the Metropolitan the ruling seems to be 'only for family', and even then 'only with permission' and an Instructor/Operator or Duty Manager riding with you. Oh for those 'old' days, like when my eldest son (now 22) had lots of cabrides - including with his mates which made him VERY popular at school(!) - without any hassle at all. To be honest, we weren't 'watched' so carefully in those days. A totally different world now. Sorry guys.
